The construction works for the New York Clearing House building, also known as Temple to Finance in the Financial District in Manhattan started 1894. It stood between the National Bank of Commerce and the American Exchange National Bank, was opened in 1896 and was demolished 1964 to make way for the Marine Midland Building (140 Broadway). It had addresses 77-83 Cedar Street and was designed by Robert W. Gibson [1].
