On the plan on site the necropolis is indicated as (20) being outside the walls. However, several important tombs (Lions and bull; 21; Payava, 24; Acropolis Pillar, 23) and many rock graves are within that wall, but on the same hill. On its very top a church is named Pilgrimage church (27). This hill is named "Roman acropolis" (contrasting it to the Lycian one) in at least one book but it was unclear if the name is current.
