The National Youth Administration (NYA) was a New Deal agency in the United States that focused on providing work and education for Americans between the ages of 16 and 25.
- The NYA operated as part of the Works Progress Administration June 26, 1935 – June 30, 1939.
- Effective July 1, 1939, the NYA was transferred to the Federal Security Agency.
- In 1942, activities not related to the war effort were eliminated, and direction of the NYA was transferred to the War Manpower Commission effective September 17, 1942. The NYA was dissolved at the end of 1943.
