English: The City Entrance is one of two entrances to the National Railway Museum in York. This one is off Cinder Lane for visitors arriving by foot, mostly from the nearby railway station or the city centre beyond it, or for those requiring accessible parking spaces. The other entrance is the Car Park Entrance further away from the station, off Leeman Road, for visitors arriving by car, as well as being the entrance for staff and corporate events parties.
The City Entrance is in a new building that runs along the north side of the Station Hall building. It also houses the museum shop. Outside is a turning circle, overlooked by the east facade of the Station Hall.
The museum's trackless train runs from this entrance to Duncombe Place in the city centre, next to York Minster.Media in category "National Railway Museum, York, City Entrance"
