Naruka is a clan of Hindu Rajputs originally tracing roots from present-day Rajasthan. The eponymous founder of this illustrious clan was Maharao Naru Singh (15th century), who in his time earned so much prestige and honour due to his bravery. He had issue, five sons. One of his descendants Rao Raja Pratap Singh Naruka established a separate kingdom for himself, named Alwar.
