The Nandi mandapa is an independent structure in front of the main Rudreshvara temple, opposite the ranga-mandapa, within the Ramappa temples complex compound. It is one of the most impressively decorated Nandi and mandapa structure in South India that has survived into the modern era, according to Dhaky and Meister – scholars of Indian temple architecture.
