English: The LX series contained two models, LX-5 (3 heads) and LX-3 (two heads), introduced in 1981 and discontinued in 1984. Both models used genuine Nakamichi transports. The exterior followed the style of models 700ZXL and 700ZXE, and very inconveniently placed Dolby and EQ selectors under a swiveling lid. The LX series was priced a step above the entry-level BX series, but far below the outgoing 600 series and the new ZX-7/ZX-9 and the auto-reversing RX series.
