English: NROL-7, also known as L-7, was a National Reconnaissance Office electronics intelligence satellite named Mercury 3 and nicknamed "Elwood". It was launched by a Titan IV rocket from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station Space Launch Complex 41 on 12 August 1998, but was lost after the launch vehicle suffered a failure.
