English: USA 179, also known as NRO launch 1 (NROL-1 or simply L-1) is a National Reconnaissance Office communications satellite named Quasar 15 and nicknamed "Nemesis". It was orbited by an Atlas IIAS rocket, launched from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station Space Launch Complex 36A on 31 August 2004.
