English: Murton is a village in the Gower peninsula, Wales falling in the Bishopston ward of Swansea. Murton lies between Bishopston and the village of Newton. Until the 1960's 70's and 80's there still existed a small farming community reminscent of Murton's agriculural past, two to three village stores, a post office(still there), the village pub aptly named the "Plough and Harrow" and the very active Murton Methodist Church. Now one or two former "dairy parlours" are barn conversions, with some small scale housing development on some of Murton's former greenfields.
