The Madrasa Murshidiye (1252), which has a peculiar ground plan since tomb and prayer hall had to be oriented true south. It is a funerary college commemorating Khadija Khatun, the daughter of Ayyubid leader Malik al-Muazzam Issa. Its minaret is the only surviving example from the 13th century.
