Italiano: La Casa del Fauno a Pompei (VI, 12, 2) è una casa aristocratica, la più vasta in tutta la città, occupando essa un' insula intera, che si data al 180-170 a.C. con una radicale ristrutturazione intorno all'anno 100 a.C.. Scavata tra il 1830 ed il 1832, ha ridato numerosi mosaici, fra i più antichi e i più belli di Pompei, essendocene uno praticamente in ogni ambiente della parte padronale. In un'ampia sala posta fra i due peristili con giardino, si è rinvenuto il mosaico più grande e famoso, la "Battaglia di Isso" (detto anche "Mosaico di Alessandro").
