Italiano: Il prezioso e fine mosaico greco in opus vermiculatum Scena comica con suonatori ambulanti realizzato e firmato dall'artista Dioscuride di Samo, risalente alla fine del sec. II a.C. / inizio del sec. I a.C., è stato rinvenuto a Pompei nella cd. Villa di Cicerone, ed è esposto nel Museo Archeologico Nazionale di Napoli (inv. nr. 9985). Il mosaico mostra una scena di un'opera teatrale, in quanto tutti i protagonisti indossano maschere.

English: Emblema with Itinerant Musicians. The mosaic is an emblema (inset figure) formerly in a floor. The masked figures are metragyrtai for the goddess Cybele. (Details and references here. This valuable and fine Greek mosaic in opus vermiculatum Comic Scene with Walking Players made and signed by the artist Dioscurides of Samos, dating from the late 2nd century B.C.E./early 1st century B.C.E., was found in Pompeii in the so-called Villa of Cicero, and is on display in the National Archaeological Museum in Naples (inv. no. 9985). The mosaic shows a scene from a play, as all the protagonists wear masks.
