違い chigai: motifs crossing each other. -
抱き daki-: embracing motif curve towards each other at head and tail, and crossing at some point, usually the tail end -
入れ違い irechigai, passing each other, the two motif parts "enter" the mon from opposing directions -
軸違い jiku-chigai: stems crossing, heads do not curve towards one another. -
重ね- kasane, layered motif, multiples of the same motif partly overlapping each other. Sometimes overlap is not defined and the combination is styled as a singular item. -
向い mukai: motifs facing each other along an axis. May be headed at opposing directions if applicable. -
追いかけ oikake: "chasing", head-to-tail rotating repetition of the motif. -
N-寄 X (N-yose X): arrangement Xs congregating, each evenly spaced and facing the middle.
