English: The en:Moenkopi Formation-(of the Colorado Plateau). In Monument Valley, as a horizontally laid geologic unit upon cliffs of De Chelly Sandstone, upon (skirts) of the Organ Rock Formation-(found in central & south Utah, and Arizona). The De Chelly Sandstone (mostly of Arizona) is found in Monument Valley, but its Type Locality is Canyon De Chelly, of northeast Arizona.
