An historic grade-II listed milestone indicating one mile from Great St Mary's Church, Cambridge. The milestone is situated alongside the fence to the University Botanic Gardens, opposite Station Road and near the War Memorial.
It is not to be confused with the unlisted and unreadable 2-mile stone outside Perse School a mile south on Hills Road.
