The Mikiphone (not related to Mikimaus or the Mike Phone) was a portable, almost pocket-sized gramophone created in 1923 by Étienne (Isztvan) and Nicolas Vadász (Swiss residents of Hungarian origin). The first patent was issued in 1924 in Switzerland. Around 180000s Mikiphones were manufactured by Paillard AG in Saint-Croix in 1925-1927.[1]
