The building, located to the east of Haşimiye Square, was built as a Mevlevihane for the Mevlevi of Urfa in the 18th century. After the closure of the dervish lodges, the building was opened for worship as a mosque. In Konya there is a small-scale reconstruction of the complex in the Panorama Museum.
