English: Metal Trees of the Carolinian Forest is an artwork commissioned by the London Downtown Business Association and completed by William Robert Hodgson consisting of over 50 tree-shaped metal sculptures standing between 14 to 18 feet (4.3 to 5.5 m). Built in 2007 and 2008 and installed in downtown London in 2009, the sculptures represent a variety of local species—including black cherry, black oak, hawthorn, silver maple, trembling aspen, white ash, white oak, and white pine—each in one solid colour, either blue, green, orange, purple, red, or yellow.
