English: This category shows images of the bust of composer Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy made at the end of the 1840ies by sculptor Ernst Rietschel in marble. Three copies in marble are known: in the Mendelssohn-Archiv of the Staatsbibliothek Berlin (Berlin State Library), the museum of the en:Royal Academy of Music in London and the en:J. Paul Getty Museum in California. Currently this category contains only images of the bronze copy which was placed in 2000 in front of the Berlin U-Bahn station "Mendelssohn-Bartholdy-Park", and is thus also a subcategory of images pertaining to that Berlin U-Bahn station, and of category "Busts in Berlin-Kreuzberg". As soon as images of other copies of this work are being added, these five images should be moved to a separate, aptly named category for this special copy which is currently the only represented here
