English: The McGraw-Fiske Mansion was commissioned by Jennie McGraw, wife of Cornell Professor Willard Fiske. Designed by William H. Miller, it was modeled on a French chateau near Blois. Construction started 1879 and completed in 1896. Jennie died before in 1881, she could live in the house. It was sold in 1896 to E.G. Wyckoff, who immediately sold it to Chi Psi fraternity of Cornell University for $50,000. It burned in an infamous fire on December 7, 1906.
