Massachusetts (school ship, 1859) The State Reform School for boys in Westborough Massachusetts was a state institution for the reformation of juvenile offenders from 1848 to 1884. In December 1859 they purchased the ship Rockall making alterations to use it as a reform school for 200 boys and christened it the Massachusetts.
