Cineplex Odeon ran a six-plex at this location for several decades. The theatres are located underground. Originally Cineplex's concession stand served specialty coffees, and other premium treats. There were small wrought iron tables for patrons to consume the premium treats. Around the turn of the 20th Century Cineplex closed many locations, including this one, and the facility was empty for several years. It was reopened by Rainbow Cinema, a smaller chain. The lobby area where patrons sipped lattes was converted to a party room, for children's parties. For several years nearby George Brown College made use of the theatres as lecture halls in the morning.
