English: The Mark Twain Tree was a Giant Sequoia (Sequoiadendron giganteum) tree in the Big Stump Grove of Kings Canyon National Park that stood 300 feet (91 m) tall before being felled in 1891. Sections of the trunk were shipped to the American Museum of Natural History and Natural History Museum of London for display. The stump remains at Big Stump Grove and is known as the "Big Stump" or "Mark Twain Stump".
