Marie Marsfjell (also known as Maria Marsfjell or Marja Marsfjell) was born in 1878 according to one source, in 1881 according to another. She died in 1957. She was married to Jonas Olofsson Marsfjell (1878-1948). The couple tried to secure their rights to traditional fishing waters during the so called Marsfjell case during the early 20th century. After Jonas Olofsson Marsfjell's death, Marie Marsfjell continued the trial in the Supreme Court. However, the case was lost [1].
