In the centre of the northeast wall there is the main castle. Some pictures show it, some in its setting in the wall. Translated from the German Wikipedia "The [north]east side [of the castle] is the most heavily fortified. It consisted of two mighty towers connected by a strong wall. The main castle served here as a bulwark at the most vulnerable point, at the same time as a last resort in case other parts were already taken. A few meters south of the main castle is the gate of the inner ring of walls. The gate tower protrudes above the wall, especially on the inside, where parts of the stairs leading up are still preserved. An Armenian relief can be seen in the wall above the entrance gate with a machicolated shaft. Another bastion-like tower follows shortly after the entrance, before the corner tower, projecting pointedly to the east, completes the inner wall."
