In the apse of the church of St. Blaise is an high altar of classical composition in this side of the Pyrenees :

A tomb altar adorned with a badge representing the Assumption, of wood (late XVII ) .
A winged tabernacle adorned with a Christ in affronts, on the right side of St. Paul, St. Peter on the left side . On the panel on the right wing , the "Glory of God" means an angel showing God which tribute is paid by a flower.
On the panel on the left side , the "Word of God" : the angel point out the messiah ( christ on tabernacle ) who appeared on earth to bear witness. This is also the reason why the Apostle Peter, is represented on this side of the tabernacle while Paul, guardian of the faith, is shown on the right side . At the top of the tabernacle , crucifix reminds the sacrifice of Jesus for the redemption of sins.
An altarpiece whose frontispiece decorated with a " God Almighty " creator of heaven and earth . It is based on two columns representing the Pillars of Faith , the old and new testament . Vines and grapes decorating this columns represent its fruits. On the sides, the vortices represent Genesis. The palms and at the top two trompeting angels proclaim the triumph of the Catholic religion.
As usual the trumeau is decorated with an dedicatory painting, here St. Blaise , bishop and doctor , which seems natural for a Hospital...
