English: The Lyttelton War Memorial was built after WWI. Originally located on the corner of Oxford and London Streets, it was deemed a traffic hazard and moved to Simeon Quay in 1936. It suffered significant damage in the February and June 2011 earthquakes and was carefully deconstructed. It was rebuilt in Albion Square in 2014. The original plaques show WWI casualties. A roll of honour of those who died in WWII was added later.
