English: Former L&YR shed opened in 1881 as the company's main servicing facility. Coded 24C by British Railways from 1946-1963 and then 10D. Closed in August 1968, it was the last operational steam shed on the British Rail standard gauge network. It became a diesel depot until 1973, after which the site was used for the repair of rolling stock until 1986. Demolition followed in 1990.
