English: London Bus Services Ltd, incorporated on 24 January 2000, is a wholly owned subsidiary of Transport for London, the transport authority set up in 2000. Branded as 'London Buses' or simply 'Buses', it's main responsibility is managing London's public transport bus services and routes (the actual operation of the buses being sub-contracted to private operators through a tendering system), identified by their traditional allover red livery, although it also manages other bus services through the London Service Permit (LSP) scheme. LBSL is not to be confused with London Buses Ltd, which has a different modern day role within the TfL framework, but which also previously used the brand 'London Buses' before TfL was created.
