Liverpool Meat and Fish Market, formerly Stanley Abattoir, on Prescot Road, Liverpool, was commissioned by Liverpool Corporation and opened in 1931. It was used for the slaughter of cattle for customers in the northwest of England, and closed in 1971 before being reopened in its current form.
