These are four copper plaques: Lists of Mayors of Morley Borough Council 1886–1973, on the grand staircase of Morley Town Hall in Morley, West Yorkshire, England. Note that the mayoral mace illustrated on the plaques has a brick crown, which in 19th-century England was used by architectural sculptors (such as the Mawer Group) to identify portraits of mayors on the exteriors of buildings. Morley Town Council lists its mayors in alphabetical order here, with thumbnail pictures, and date order here.

The mace depicted on the plaques was designed by Walter Crane (died 1905) and made by Alexander Fisher (died 1936) of Kensington. The mace was presented to Morley Borough Council on 8 December 1902. On the grounds of design quality, it is possible that Walter Crane also made the original design for the plaques in this category. For a full description of the ceremonial mace, see: "Notable functions at Morley", Yorkshire Post and Leeds Intelligencer, 9 December 1902, page 7 col.5
