Category:Lim Bo Seng Memorial

The Lim Bo Seng Memorial in Esplanade Park, Connaught Drive, Singapore, was designed in the Chinese National Style by Ng Keng Siang and constructed between 1953 and 1954. It commemorates resistance fighter Lim Bo Seng who was arrested by the Japanese Secret Police during the Japanese occupation of Singapore and later died in 1944. The foundation stone was laid in 1953 by Malcolm MacDonald, the British Commissioner General for Southeast Asia; and the memorial was unveiled on 29 June 1954 by Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Loewen, Commander-in-Chief of Far East Land Forces.

The memorial was gazetted as a national monument together with the Cenotaph and Tan Kim Seng Fountain on 28 December 2010.
