Doyen was the name given to the in-house design of an integral coach based on Royal Tiger (B50) running units, produced by Leyland. Introduced in 1982. The Royal Tiger was also sold as a frame for bodying by other companies, and was the rear engined version of the mid-engined Tiger (B43), introduced in 1979. Production of the Royal Tiger running units ceased early on and in 1988 following the takeover of Leyland by Volvo, the Doyen was discontinued.
