Captain John's (formerly, the MS Jadran) was a popular floating restaurant, moored at the foot of Yonge Street, in Toronto since 1975. By 2012 however, the restaurant's popularity had waned, and it went out of business. The owner's debts mounted. The city had sold the land adjacent to the mooring for an expensive condo, so the vessel was seized for back taxes, and bids were invited to tow it to the breaker's yard. She was finally towed on May 28, 2015.
