English: The LaSalle Hotel was a hotel, brothel (1942 - early 1950s, see https://www.seattlemet.com/articles/2010/1/29/red-light-history-0210), hotel again, now low-income housing, in Pike Place Market, Seattle, Washington, U.S. As usually used nowadays, LaSalle Hotel refers also to two other buildings that were combined with the original LaSalle Hotel: Cliff House and the Outlook Building. The Outlook Building part, which dates to 1908, includes some market shops (e.g. Market Spice, the restaurant Maximilien) in what was once known as the Outlook Arcade or Outlook Market. The restaurant Place Pigalle at the top of the Western Avenue side of the building (atop the historic Outlook Building) was known in the brothel era as the Lotus Inn.
