中文(简体):成化四年(1468)重修孔子庙碑:明宪宗朱见深御制碑文,极力赞颂孔子及其思想,是曲阜诸碑中对孔子推崇最高的一幢。其书法浑厚庄严,收放得体,多为楷书临摹之范本。
English: A tortoise-borne stele commemorating the renovation of the Temple of Confucius, erected in Year 4 of Chenghua era (AD 1468). It is 4.6 m tall, 2.2 m wide and 0.49 m thin. It stands on a bixi tortoise which is 5.1 m long, 2.4 m wide, 1.35 m tall.

The stele is located in the open air, in front of the eastern stele pavilion that's in front of the God of Literature Pavilion (Kui Wen Ge) and east of Tongwen Gate (Tong Wen Men).

The stele is described as item 57 of the Ming Dynasty section, pp pp 402-404, of the book:
