English: King Records was an american based independet record label that lasted from 1943 until 1973as an active label. In the 1940s, it concentrated on country music with such artists as the Delmore Brothers, Wayne Raney, Cowboy Copas, Grandpa Jones and Moon Mullican. In the mid-ifites, with the advent of rock and roll, black rhythm and blues, rock and roll and white rockabilly dominated the label's output. By 1973 King was purchased by Gusto Records.
