The Kaviyur Cave Temple is an 8th-century rock-cut Hindu temple dedicated to Shiva. It is one of the oldest cave temples in southwestern region of India. It shows the contribution or influence of Pallava architecture in Kerala.

The Kaviyoor Cave Temple is also known as Thrikkakkudy Temple. It faces west, includes a pillared facade, an ardhamandapam and a square plan garbhagriyam with Shiva linga. In front of the sanctum is a rectangular hall. The ardhamandapa walls have reliefs of four-armed Ganesha and a human rishi (sage). The sanctum is flanked by dwarapalas.
