English: Castle Wolvenhof - Built in 1913 for the industrial Gaspard Vanden Bogaerde with design by Jules Vercoutere in a large park just southwest of Izegem. The conjunct comprises two houses and a caretaker apartment building, which was inhabited by Bogaerde. In 2001 the two houses and the gatehouse have been declared as protected monuments. The place seems to have been in the family (to whom belongs Dirk Bogaerde) for many generations. It is also known as Chateau Gaspard Vanden Bogaerde. During WW I, in 1917, a small German airfield named Flugplatz Abeele was built nearby. The castle has been a preferred place for urban explorers, who have nicknamed it Château du Loup.
