Built in 1891, this Queen Anne-style house at 24 East Gorham Street in Madison, Wisconsin, was constructed for Joseph W. Hobbins as an income-generating rental property (see the Property Record online). It is presently used as an apartment building.

The house features wooden clapboard and wooden shingle siding, hipped roof, front and side gables with brackets at the base, two-story bay windows on the front and side facades, one-over-one double-hung windows, a front door with decorative glass sidelights and a decorative glass transom, a rusticated stone base, a front porch with a low-slope roof, paneled railings and simple columns, and a small window on the second floor over the front door.

The house is a contributing structure in the Mansion Hill Historic District, listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1997.
