Čeština: Josef Dvořák (* 6. dubna 1892 Čimelice – 1. října 1960 Veletiny) byl během první světové války příslušníkem československých legií na Rusi a ve Francii. Po návratu do Československa dokončil studium na ČVUT v Praze (titul Ing.) a stal se důstojníkem prvorepublikové Československé armády. Prošel mnoha vysokými armádními funkcemi souvisejícími s telegrafním oddělením ministerstva národní obrany (MNO). Koncem dubna 1931 byl povýšen do hodnosti brigádního generála. Ve funkcích přednosty 21. (telegrafního) oddělení ministerstva národní obrany a velitele telegrafního vojska řídil (z pozice nadřízeného orgánu) zakládání (květen 1923) a (až do roku 1927) činnost Vojenských telegrafních dílen jakožto základní prvorepublikové platformy výzkumu a vývoje československé národní vojenské elektroniky.

English: Josef Dvořák (* 6 April 1892 in Čimelice - 1 October 1960 in Veletiny) was a member of the Czechoslovak legions in Russia and France during the First World War. After returning to Czechoslovakia, he completed his studies at the Czech Technical University in Prague (degree in Ing.) and became an officer in the First Republic Czechoslovak Army. He passed through many high army positions related to the telegraph department of the Ministry of National Defence. At the end of April 1931 he was promoted to the rank of Brigadier General. As head of the 21st (Telegraph) Department of the Ministry of National Defence and commander of the Telegraph Troops, he directed (from the position of a superior authority) the establishment (May 1923) and (until 1927) the operation of the Military Telegraph Workshops as the basic First Republic platform for research and development of Czechoslovak national military electronics.
