English: John Croker (21 October 1670 – 21 March 1741), born at Dresden, the son of a cabinet-maker to the Elector of Saxony, and known in his youth as Johann Crocker, was chief engraver to the Royal Mint from 1705 to 1741 and engraved the dies for all gold and silver British coins of Queen Anne and King George I and most of those of King George II until 1739.
