English: Captain Joe Ronnie Hooper (August 8, 1938 – May 6, 1979) was a Vietnam veteran whose combat decorations surpassed those of Audie Murphy or Alvin York. He was the recipient of the Medal of Honor, America's highest military decoration for valor in combat.
