English: James Markwick II (b. c. 1662 - d. 1730), a British clockmaker, the oldest son of James Markwick I (d. 1716). Finished his apprenticeship with Clockmakers' Company in 1692; married Catherine Carleton in 1696. His brother, Nathaniel Markwick, was a vicar of East Brent. Inherited clock-making business from his father, and left it to his son-in-law, Robert Markham (d. 1747), who married his daughter Catherine.
