English: Iplex Pipelines Australia was established in 1938 as I.P.L. (Industrial Plastics Ltd) by Otto Menzel, and became Iplex after his son Bill suggested adding an 'EX' to the end of the name.("Company History", Iplex, n.d.) It was acquired by James Hardie in the 1970s to become Hardie Iplex (Iplex, n.d.) and was later sold to the Crane Group in 1997 and renamed to Iplex Pipelines.(Iplex, n.d.; Plastic News Report, 1997) In 2011 they became a member of the ASX and NZX listed Fletcher Building Group.
