English: Ioan Ciobanca [in Hungarian: Csobánkai] (February 17, 1896 – February 15, 1953) was a descendant of Man and Csobánkai families from Bădăcin, "noble families exempted from tax payment" by the Emperor of Austria (Dr. Dionisie Stoica, Ioan P. Lazăr, "Monographic sketch of Sălaj County", Șimleu Silvaniei, 1908, p. 191.) Upon completing his economic studies, Ciobanca served as a public servant until the Communist regime dismiss him from the public service.
