Ingi or Inge here represents one or more kings or chieftains of legend whose names in the sagas sometimes have been given as Yngve-Frej (a Norse god), Yngve (a king who supposedly engaged with a brother in swordplay that led to both of their deaths) and a villainous chief called Ingold Illready (Ingjald Illråde) (for him see Category:Ingold Illready (Ingjald Illråde). Several Swedish locations and grave mounds have names that traditionally allude to these figures of legend, without their authenticity as actual historical persons or actual effect on these place names being possible to determine. Two other real kings of Sweden in later times were named Ingi (Inge).
