English: Since carving skis have been invented, it has become good practice of the ski producers to print the technical specifications - length, radius, and the width at front, middle and tail - onto the skis. This allows to identify the characteristics of the ski, for example if it is designed for a very good skier or for a beginner, and if it is suitable rather for large turns or for slalom-like short turns. Before the carving ski era, the only data printed on skis was the overall length, if at all.
