Category:Hugh Milman

Hugh Miles Milman was born in London in 1845, and came to Australia in 1865. Pastoralist and pioneer in Queensland, he became Police Magistrate at Aramai in 1881 and at Cooktown in 1883. In 1890, he was Chief Commissioner of Stamps in Brisbane. He became Government Resident of Thursday Island from 1904 (Information taken from: F.
